Canterbury UK Summer Camp (ages 12–17)
About the Camp
Canterbury Summer Camp at the University of Kent by Embassy Summer (EC) offers teenagers aged 12–17 a unique and enriching programme that blends English language learning, cultural discovery, and an authentic UK campus experience. Suitable for students of all English levels, the course includes 15 hours of English tuition per week, with interactive, discussion-based lessons designed to build confidence, collaboration skills, and real-life communication abilities.
Set in the historic surroundings of the University of Kent in Canterbury, just under an hour from London, the camp provides an inspiring and vibrant campus environment with excellent facilities, including modern teaching spaces, sports areas, and social spaces for students. The programme offers a varied excursion schedule, with half-day and full-day trips to iconic UK destinations such as London, Cambridge, and Brighton, as well as local visits to places like Whitstable, Leeds Castle, Chatham Dockyards, and Rochester. These experiences give students the opportunity to practise English in real-world situations while exploring British culture, history, and heritage.
Accommodation is provided in refurbished single en-suite rooms at Tyler Court, with full board meals served daily in the campus dining hall. Students benefit from 24/7 supervision and dedicated pastoral care, ensuring a safe, supportive, and comfortable stay throughout the programme.
The programme offers weekly enrolment with arrivals on Tuesdays. The length of the programme is flexible, with a minimum stay of 1 week and a maximum of 8 weeks. The recommended stay length is 4 weeks, as some activities and excursions may be repeated.
