Brighton UK Summer Camp (ages 13–17)
About the Camp
Brighton Summer Camp at University of Sussex by Embassy Summer (EC) offers teenagers aged 13–17 a vibrant and enriching programme that combines English language learning, cultural discovery, and an authentic British seaside experience. Suitable for students of all English levels, the course includes 15 hours of English tuition per week, with interactive, discussion-based lessons designed to build confidence, communication skills, and real-world fluency through collaboration and intercultural exchange.
Set in the lively coastal city of Brighton, often called “London by the sea,” the camp is based at the University of Sussex, located just outside the city centre and surrounded by the beautiful South Downs National Park. This unique setting provides a safe and inspiring environment where students can enjoy both a modern university campus and easy access to Brighton’s famous beaches, cultural landmarks, cafés, and shops. The programme includes a varied excursion schedule, with regular visits to Brighton as well as half-day and full-day trips to some of the UK’s most iconic destinations, including London, Canterbury, Windsor Castle, and other local attractions. These experiences allow students to practise English in real-life situations while exploring British history, culture, and coastal life.
Accommodation is provided in single en-suite rooms in modern campus residences, with full-board meals served daily in a spacious on-campus canteen. Students benefit from 24/7 supervision and dedicated pastoral care, ensuring a safe, supportive, and comfortable stay throughout the programme.
The programme offers weekly enrolment with arrivals on Tuesdays. The length of the programme is flexible, with a minimum stay of 1 week and a maximum of 7 weeks. The recommended stay length is 4 weeks, as some activities and excursions may be repeated.
